The Eight Stages of the Greenhoof Cycle

Each stage is a practical step with its own handling, assessment and quality considerations.

  1. Resource Identification

    We identify organic materials that may be suitable for responsible recovery and biological processing.

  2. Collection and Sorting

    Materials are collected or received, inspected and separated according to their suitability.

  3. Preparation

    Suitable materials are prepared to support safe and effective natural decomposition.

  4. Biological Transformation

    Composting organisms and earthworms help transform organic matter through natural biological processes.

  5. Maturation and Quality Review

    The material is allowed to mature before being assessed and prepared for its intended application.

  6. Soil and Plant Use

    The regenerated product returns to the soil, where it can support plant growth and soil function.

  7. Food and Community Value

    Plants, microgreens, gardens and green spaces create nutritional, environmental and community value.

  8. Return to the Cycle

    Suitable organic materials are recovered again, keeping their value in circulation.
